Job description
Join our energetic team, where your responsibilities will include dynamic tasks such as wayfinding, supporting participants on some of the obstacles, participant registration, some elements of the site build and being an encouraging face for participants on the way round the course. Shift 1: 7am-4pm

Shift 2: 7am-5pm

Shift 3: 7am-6pm


Where is it? Culden Faw, Fawley, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 3AP
What will I be paid? £12.82 per hour + £12.82 for travel expenses, within 2 weeks of the event

Is there good public transport links? Yes.

Are meals provided? TBC.

Is this role open to anyone? Yes, anyone can apply. 

Is uniform provided? Yes, you'll be given a bright orange MVP (Most Valued Player) t-shirt and baseball cap and this must be worn as the outermost layer. You're recommended to wear sensible, comfortable shoes as you'll be on your feet all day. Open-toed shoes are not allowed. For warm/sunny weather, we recommend breathable, sports clothing and sunglasses. For colder weather, layer up with waterproof clothing, a warm hat and gloves.

Do I need to bring anything with me? Roles throughout the day will be varied and some roles will be course-based. For these, you're recommended to bring a camping chair if you'd like one, as one won't be provided. You can also bring along a wireless (waterproof!) speaker if you want to spruce up your time marshalling on the incredible course.

You should also bring extra snacks to keep you going through the day; a thermos or flask to fill-up at the volunteer/staff tent and keep with you; and food/refreshments if you have any dietary requirements (vegetarian and some vegan/gluten free options will be available)

Do I need to have specific experience to apply? No, any customer-facing experience would be great though - all we need is for you to be energetic (don't worry, you won't be taking part), adaptable and infectious smile.

Is there training that needs to be done beforehand? No, but there may be a virtual briefing a couple of days before to run you through the logistics of the day and a full briefing pack will be provided.

Is accommodation provided? No.

Is travel reimbursed? You'll have £12.82 added to your final pay to cover travel expenses.
