About the event
Organised by London Marathon Events, The Big Half is a vibrant, inclusive half marathon with a fun, festival atmosphere. The 13.1 mile course weaves through London from Tower Bridge to the iconic Cutty Sark in Greenwich. 

The New Balance Big Relay covers the same course in four legs and the Big Mile is free, family-friendly event that takes place on the same finishing stretch, ending at the Cutty Sark. 

Job description
Join our fast-paced Baggage Team where you'll play a vital role in efficiently sorting and organising every participants' bag as they complete the race - getting every bag ready for when the participant arrives at the finish line to be reunited with their bag. Working closely with volunteers and London Marathon Events staff, you'll ensure smooth operations at the baggage area, providing runners with a convenient and hassle-free experience after their 13.1-mile journey.

What are the shift times? 7.30am - 1pm
Where is it? National Maritime Museum, Romney Road, London, SE10 9NF
What will I be paid? £12.82 - £14.65 per hour (dependant on experience), paid within 2 weeks

Is there good public transport links? Yes. A number of bus routes, as well as Cutty Sark DLR, Greenwich National Rail & DLR, and Maze Hill National Rail are all within walking distance.

Is there bike parking? Yes, there's public cycle parking outside the National Maritime Museum.

Is there car parking? No.

Are meals provided? No, please bring packed lunch with you.

Is this role open to anyone? Yes, however this is an active role with lifting involved.

Is uniform provided? A hi-viz will be provided. Please wear comfortable shoes and black trousers/shorts. Bear in mind you'll be moving around and on your feet for most of the shift.

Do I need to bring anything with me? No.

Do I need to have specific experience to apply? No, customer-facing experience would be great though!

Is there training that needs to be done beforehand? There'll be a virtual briefing a couple of days before.

Is accommodation provided? No, this is not provided.

Is travel reimbursed? No.
