Job description
We are looking for motivated and professional individuals who want to gain experience and work at one of the World’s most famous events, Royal Ascot. 

Ascot is looking for Event People to fill a number of roles within the Bet With Ascot team at this year's Royal Ascot. We are looking for people who are confident, organised and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment whilst ensuring that the spectators have a great experience! Candidates need to be able to work for the duration of the event and be free for the 'selection day' prior, with a date for this to be confirmed once applied.

You would need to be available for all 5 days - approx 45 hours. If you are on a student visa that's limited to 20 hours per week, you would need to be outside of term time, and be able to verify this with a letter from your university, to be able to work on this event.

What will I be paid? £12.82 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay) + £12.82 per day for travel expenses, paid within 2 weeks of the event

Is uniform provided? Yes, once you've passed the in-person selection day (see below) you'll be asked for your uniform sizes. You'll need to collect your uniform from Ascot within a specific time window - this will be several weeks before your first shift.

Is there training that needs to be done beforehand? Yes. You'll need to attend an in-person selection and training day. This will be an opportunity to learn about the role and orientate yourself with the site, but it is ultimately a selection day for the Bet With Ascot team to shortlist staff who they'd like to work at Royal Ascot. Not everyone who attends the selection day will work at Royal Ascot.

There are several selection days to choose from, and we'll ask you for your preference at your interview. Each day will be paid at £12.82 per hour. You only need to attend one day.

Following successful completion of the in-person selection & training day, you'll need to complete a 1 hour online training session. This can be done from home whenever you choose and will be paid at £12.82 for the hour.

Is accommodation provided? No.

Is travel reimbursed? Yes, an additional £12.82 will be added to your pay per day to cover expenses.
