Job description
Join our dynamic team as Registration and Event Support Staff for Jewson Live, where your role will begin with efficiently scanning attendees upon their arrival. Embrace the versatility of this position as you transition to providing support across various event tasks as needed. What are the shift times? 8am - 4pm
Where is it? Kent Event Centre, Maidstone, ME14 3JF
What will I be paid? £12.82 per hour + £12.82 to cover travel expenses, paid within 2 weeks
Other information
Is there good public transport links? Maidstone East Railway Station is 4.2 miles from the Kent Event Centre. Trains to London Victoria depart twice an hour.
Is there bike parking? TBA.
Is there car parking? The Kent Event Centre has parking for up to 30,000 vehicles. From the M20 Motorway, exit the motorway at junction 7 and follow signs to Sittingbourne, Sheerness A249. Follow the A249 for approximately 2 miles, the Kent Event Centre & Kent Showground are signposted on the left-hand side. From the M2 Motorway, exit the motorway at junction 5 signposted (M20) Maidstone A249. Follow the A249 for approximately 5 miles.
Please be aware that cars are unable to cross over the carriage way to the Showground on the right-hand side of the road. Visitors will need to carry on along the A249 to the roundabout at the bottom of Detling hill, then follow the M20 directions above.
Are meals provided? Yes, lunch will be provided.
Is this role open to anyone? Yes.
Is uniform provided? A t-shirt will be provided. You'll need to wear plain black trousers and black, comfortable shoes.
Do I need to bring anything with me? No.
Do I need to have specific experience to apply? No, customer-facing experience would be great!
Is there training that needs to be done beforehand? There'll be a virtual briefing a couple of days before.
Is accommodation provided? No, this is not provided.
Is travel reimbursed? Yes, you'll be paid an additional hour of pay (£12.82) to contribute towards travel expenses.
