Held on Sunday 23rd June 2024, Eye to Eye 2024 is back for its 10th year and is an amazing opportunity for supporters of the Moorfields Eye Charity to raise money for vital funds, either by walking 1, 5 or 15 miles around London; as every 15 minutes, someone in the UK starts to lose their sight.

Job description
Join our compassionate team as a Route Stewards as the walkers make their way around some of London's most iconic landmarks. Your role will be to motivate participants along the route, offering encouragement and assistance as needed. Embrace the opportunity to support walkers in their journey through the heart of London, ensuring a memorable and rewarding experience for all while contributing to the mission of the charity. Your friendly demeanor and readiness to lend a hand will make a meaningful difference in the success of this charitable event.

When is it? Sunday 23 June 2024
What are the shift times? To be announced (early morning to late afternoon)
Where is it? Starting at Moorfields Eye Hospital (Islington) with deployment locations throughout Central London
What will I be paid? £12.82 per hour, paid within 2 weeks of the event

Is there good public transport links? Yes, Old Street station (Northern line and Great Northern National Rail) is just around the corner from Moorfields Eye Hospital (follow signs and the green line on the floor) and there's also lots of bus stops nearby.

Is there parking? No.

Is this role open to anyone? Yes, anyone can apply.

Do I need to bring anything with me? To be announced

Do I need to have specific experience to apply? No, any customer-facing experience would be great though - all we need is for you to be energetic (don't worry, you won't be taking part), adaptable and an encouraging smile.

Is there training that needs to be done beforehand? No, but there may be a virtual briefing a couple of days before to run you through the logistics of the day and a full briefing pack will be provided.

Is accommodation provided? No, accommodation is not provided for this event.

Is travel reimbursed? For this event, travel will not be reimbursed.
